Egyptian NGO Support Center
As a step towards creating solid partners and contributors to our success, EMSA has recently been accepted as an active member in the Egyptian NGO Support Center.
From 2000- 2005, the NGO Service Center was a project funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and sponsored by the Ministry of Insurance and Social Affairs. The project was managed by Save the Children, America’s Development Foundation and Infonex Corporation. Throughout the life of the project, support and assistance was provided to hundreds of Egyptian NGOs, large and small, in every governorate in Egypt, with the aim of increasing the participation of citizens and non-governmental organizations in the development of Egypt.
From its inception the project was designed to become a permanent Egyptian entity that would sustain the work of supporting civil society in Egypt after the USAID Project ended. In 2004, the Egyptian NGO Support Center, was registered as an Egyptian NGO and the successor organization to the USAID Project was publicly inaugurated in February 2005.

The Egyptian NGO Support Center (ENGOSC) has become a leading sector-support institution specialized in organizational development for NGOs in Egypt and the Middle East. Through training, technical assistance, mentoring and provision of resources (human, financial, and material), ENGOSC strengthens organizations' capacity to further development goals.
