> Arms > Career > Skills Development
It’s no secret, the information or knowledge we get from our curricular studies in whichever medical faculty we study in, is, let’s face it, not enough to build up the adequate physician’s skills, personality or even CV.
This is where the career development arm comes in action. We first begin by studying the parts where we can really make a difference. It is of optimal importance to provide our sets of services that do in fact satisfy a need. Our ultimate guideline: If somebody else does it good enough, let’s direct our efforts in something else we can excel at.
The main axis of skills development we focus our efforts on are:
- Research planning, execution and presentation skills
- Patient-Doctor communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem analysis
- Financial satisfaction with intact medical ethics
In EMSA we avoid lectures, courses or traditional passive learning. Experiential learning and the interactivity during the skills empowerment process is key to reach the results we aim at. With our extensive network of partners and contacts, we arrange an annual students’ research competition that gathers local and international medical students, eminent medical professors and evaluators, as well as the ultimate combination of science, new friendships and great time.
