The great investment tobacco companies put into advertising and marketing for their product begs the question, of how greatly smokers buy into this promotional pressure - rather than a rational choice - when they start smoking. Tobacco companies have gone even further, targeting developing countries in specific, placing a greater economic and health loaded on them

Thousands – mainly youth and children – who start smoking daily, are putting their health, as well as that of the network around them (second-hand/passive smokers) at stake. Eventually, one of every two of these smokers would die of smoking related causes!

The Facts

Between 80,000 and 100,000 children worldwide start smoking every day.

Presented by the Egyptian Medical Students’ Association
